Fab Four Fabulous!
Reviewed by A TripAdvisor Member on Jun 11, 2009

We live in the United States and our 15 year old daughter is a huge Beatles fan (and got us excited about them again as well!). So, for her 16th birthday, we took her to London and Liverpool for a bit of British history and a Liverpool Beatles Tour. We reviewed many Beatles' tour options but decided to go with the "Fab Four Taxi Tour" and we are SO happy we did! Our tour guide was Terry and his passion for the Beatles and Liverpool was obvious from the moment we met him. His enthusiasm was positively contagious! He met us at the train station (how he recognized us from the hordes of travelers leaving the station is still a mystery) and immediately hooked us with his enthusiasm and friendliness! We felt like long-time friends in just the first few moments! Within minutes, we were touring the great Protestant cathedral in Liverpool (which is breath-taking) and he was giving us a brief history of its construction as well as the growth of Liverpool and how it got its name. From there, it was non-stop Beatles' inspirational sites that almost had us crying in some places, and joyfully laughing in others. My daughter sat in the barbershop on Penny Lane, stood at Strawberry Fields, and imitated a photo of John outside his boyhood home. We all stood in awe at Eleanor Rigby's grave ("all the lonely people") and felt such sadness at the spot where John's beloved mother died. An unexpected but relished treat was a tour of Ringo's boyhood home. The entire tour was so inspirational and gave NEW meaning to so many Beatles' songs we had taken for granted. We saw Liverpool as the Beatles did and because of the tour, now understood how so many of their songs came into being. I highly recommend this tour for serious Beatles' fans or for those who are curious about this most famous group as they will give you as much depth about the band as you want. Their individual attention to your tour expectations and questions makes you feel like a VIP visiting Liverpool. You will leave this fair city inspired and happy that you made tour! Wonderful way to learn about the band and their impact on the city

My sister and I took our Mom to Europe for Mother's Day and she is a huge Beatles fan, so we decided to come to Liverpool. We looked at Trip Advisor and decided to do the Fab Four Taxi over the other tour because of the great reviews and we were definitely not disappointed. We did not make reservations ahead of time, but the Fab Four taxi was at our hotel within 20 minutes to pick us up. Being the only ones on the tour, allows for a much more intimate tour and you are able to ask any questions you may have. Our guide was Dave and he was fantastic (ask for him!!!!). He was friendly, knowledgeable and quite funny.

If you are a true Beatles fan, this is the way to go!!!!

When we decided to book our trip to Liverpool, my wife Dawn found The Fab Four Taxi Tour online. Knowing what a die hard Beatle fan I was she thought this sounded like a great idea. It was better than I had ever expected! Our driver/tourguide Terry was knowledgeable and because Terry is also a passionate Beatle fan he was able to give us all the stories and facts along the way, and best of all, he's a really friendly fellow. It was like driving around with an old friend. He showed all the spots I had only seen in pictures or read about. Terry never ever rushed us and let us take as many photos as we wanted and even acted as our personal photographer (even directing our poses) so we would get the best possible pictures. We stopped everywhere there was Beatle history! And when we couldn't stop, which wasn't often (due to traffic conditions) Terry would slow the taxi down just a bit so we would be able get a quick photo! The tour does have a staff of other drivers, who I have no doubt are just as knowledgeable and friendly and professional. Lets face it Beatlepeople, unless Paul and Ringo are going into the taxi touring service (and I don't really see that happening) this is as good as it gets! With Terry and his staff, "A splendid time is guaranteed for all!"

You can't go wrong with this tour!!

We did the Beatles Fab Four Taxi tour last month with Terry as our guide and it far exceeded our expectations (both the tour AND the city of Liverpool exceeded our expectations, actually!) You never feel rushed on the tour and you end up seeing things you didn?t expect to see thanks to the great enthusiasm that Terry has for the Beatles and his pride of the city of Liverpool overall. It was an indescribable feeling seeing the songs of the Beatles coming to life right before your eyes! Terry also made sure we toured the inside of the magnificent Liverpool Cathedral---not a part of the Beatles tour but an absolute MUST SEE for any visitors to Liverpool! We also were able to get up close to sights that the Beatles bus tours simply drive by, such as the church hall site of John and Paul?s first meeting. The Fab Four Taxi Tour is a fantastic organization; we couldn?t wait to come back home and add our ?two thumbs up? to the great reviews for this tour already on TripAdvisor! We would trust that any of the drivers who handle the Fab Four Taxi Tour are equally as enthusiastic and qualified as Terry so we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. It?s a don?t miss for any Beatles fans visiting Liverpool, a great bargain and well worth every penny.

We decided to have a beatles tour as we were in Liverpool. We decided to book the magical mystery tour bus, but they were booked. I am glad we didn't end up on this bus. We arranged a pick up point and time and the taxis were there. We were greeted by Calvin and Darren and music by the beatles in the taxis. Calvin our driver was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, he pointed out local landmarks as well as landmarks relevant to the beatles. Highlights were visiting Eleanor Rigby's gravestone, seeing the hall where John & Paul first met and speaking to people. Excellent value for money do not leave Liverpool without booking these guys.
